Foursquare teamed up with GasBuddy, a Pilgrim SDK partner, to examine foot traffic to gas stations across the U.S. in the last two weeks in May (including Memorial Day Weekend) to answer the following questions (and more):
- Are road trippers traveling further out of their way to get cheaper gas?
- What does the road tripper’s journey look like when it comes to fueling up, meals, end destinations and lodging?
- Do consumer preferences for gas station brands differ by region?
- Which convenience stores are drawing in the most road trippers?
