Foursquare recently attended the 25th National Sales Network Anniversary Conference in our efforts to increase diverse representation within our Sales department. The National Sales Network is a membership organization whose objective is to meet the professional and developmental needs of Black and African American sales professionals.
Our investment as a Gold Sponsor in this conference allowed Foursquare to recruit and expand our talent pipeline of candidates from underrepresented backgrounds, increase brand awareness of our company and culture to a targeted membership, and provide sales training and development for our own employees.
“As a first-year National Sales Network Conference attendee, I was able to connect with other talented professionals in the industry while giving me considerations into growing my own career at Foursquare and the issues that impact women of color,” said Folashade Otuyelu, Senior Customer Success Manager at Foursquare. “With the caliber of speakers at the conference this year, it’s given me ideas on bringing in potential speakers for Fourmation and how I can share the wealth of knowledge with our sales organization.”
Our Foursquare booth activation at the conference provided an opportunity for our recruiters and members of the Engagement and Experience team to meet with prospective candidates. Foursquare also hosted a contest to entice conference attendees to add their information into a database that our recruiting team can later pull from as we continue to ensure a diverse slate of candidates for open positions.
